MDGP 2016 R2 Feature of the Day: SmartList Designer SmartLists in Advanced Lookups

Microsoft Dynamics GPThe Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP blog has started a series Feature of the Day posts for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2; as the most recent versions have been, these posts are in the form of PowerPoint slides; I am reposting them here so they can be read more easily.

The series index for this series of posts is here

The first Feature of the Day is SmartList Designer SmartLists in Advanced Lookups:

SmartList Favorite

While the ability to add SmartLists to advanced lookups has been available for a while now, this was only standard SmartLists which could be added. GP 2016 R2 sees the introduction of the ability to make SmartLists created using SmartList Designer.

Lookup windows include all of the lookups from the advanced lookup setup window:

Advanced Lookup

I’m never sure if clients are using the existing functionality. We show it when doing training, but I don’t know how much use it gets afterwards. I think I’ll start asking when I am onsite and see if this is something people already use or have reviewed and decided not to or if they have forgotten it is there.
