The last article of this series introduced environment variables which are used to store keys and parameters for flows within a solution.
To create a new environment variable, open your solution and click New » More » Environment variable:
You can give the environment variable a Display name, Name (which will automatically be given a prefix from the associated publisher) and Description.
A key setting is the Data Type which has the following options:
- Decimal number
- JSON
- Text
- Yes/No
- Data Source
- Secret
when you select the data type, additional options, dependent on the selected data type will be displayed; commonly this will include a default value and/or value to set.
