Hands on with the Microsoft Dynamics GP Fall 2020 Release: Add Web Client Runtime feature to client

Microsoft Dynamics GPThis post is part of the Hands on with the Microsoft Dynamics GP Fall 2020 Release series where I am hands on with the newly released Microsoft Dynamics GP Fall 2020 Release.

The Microsoft Dynamics GP web client is installed on one or more session host machines. The core element of the web client is a standard Microsoft Dynamics GP client installation with an added Web Client Runtime. This component is added by amending the client installation on the session host server either through the Windows Programs and Features module or by running the Dynamics GP setup utility.

I hve started the setup utility; under Install, select Microsoft Dynamics GP:

GP setup utility

Select to maintain the existing Microsoft Dynamics GP client and click Next:

Instance Selection

Click Add/Remove Features:

Program Maintenance

In the feature list, select Web Client Runtime and click Next:

Select Features

Click Install to begin the installation:

Install Program

Once the installation is complete, click Exit:

Installation Complete

The Web Client Runtime feature will need to be added on each of the machines which will be used as a session host.
